Welcome to the homepage of the medieval association Compagnie de Vignolles. Here you can read about the association, its members and activities as well as the shows and events we offer in connection with medieval markets and other occasions throughout the country.
The association primarily participates in medieval markets in Denmark where we promote an affluent company of mercenaries with a mixed European background from the middle of the fifteenth century. The association is based on the historical nobleman Etienne de Vignolles, also known as La Hire, who played a central part in the French Middle Ages around 1430. Using this as a starting point, the association tries to vitalize the European Middle Ages from this year and onwards. The association is founded around the historic person Etienne de Vignolles, who amongst others fought along side Jeanne of Arc for Charles the VII against the British during the 100-year War between France and England. Read more here... |
